City of Gardens Lahore Travelogue
There are
such a great recommendations of traveling, we should take advantage of all the
travel opportunities we have, while in school and college.
When I was
in college, I went to Lahore with my college friends and teachers. I loved
every minute of the new experience. It really amazed me and my horizons. This
was a pretty neat opportunity for me because it was my dream to go and visit Lahore
City.
In the
initial days of November, when everybody seemed unfamiliar with each other, the
first Field Trip to Lahore City brought us all closer. It was an opportunity
for me to interact with my professors and my batch- mates. Forgetting the assignments
and class test discussions, everybody opened up in diverse ways. Some had their
childhood stories to share, some had astonishing collections of music, some
were willing to show their talents, while others chose to take a nap on the
way. There was something new about my first travel with my batch- mates and one
of my favourite professors, Sir khurram
and Sir Minhal.
After reaching the destination it started
raining and nobody cared about getting drenched. For me , travel is the biggest
thing, it brings me closer to people, we all batch-mates were sharing food and
listening to ghost stories and dancing together. We went and visited so many
beautiful places there like: Lahore Fort, Badshahi Mosque, Minar e Pakistan,
Lahore Museum and so many local places and parks there. We firstly went Lahore
fort , I reached there , I totally became puzzle and amazed. The time was that
when my dream came true , it was very beautiful place to visit and to feel that
old Era there. As I like history so much, so I also like to visit historical
places a lot.
During the
beautiful journey of Lahore , everyone opened up about their dreams and
passions and also a lot misperceptions.
After this ,
We went Minar e Pakistan , half of the day we spent there , it was so much beautiful
to see Minar e Pakistan and visit it. It was my first time to see Minar e
Pakistan so closely.
As Lahore
exerts a strong cultural Influence over Pakistan, so we also did shopping there
and went to many cultural shops over there.
Lahore is
also very famous for food, so we all enjoyed so many famous food in Lahore
like: Chicken Lahore and Dal gosht is
the most famous food of lahore.
Our
professors told us about the famous restaurant of Lahore called “Haveli
Restaurant”. This Haveli Restaurant is the top floor Pakistani restaurant in a
hotel offering traditional, upmarket fare and scenic views .So we all were very
much excited to go and enjoy that food in Haveli. I Forced my class teacher to
visit that one also , finally we all decided to go there for dinner. When we
reached at Haveli Restaurant, the highlight of our visit to Haveli was a
spectacular view of the Badshahi Mosque and Surrounding areas. We all had
Chicken Handi , Malai Boti , Paratha and Soft Drinks. I personally enjoyed that
food so much it was very delicious and yummy.
Then after
that we visited the Oldest and most Famous Zoo of Lahore called "Lahore
Zoo"
When we
reached there our teachers bought tickets for all of us from the ticket counter
after that we entered from the main gate of the Lahore Zoo our teachers started
to tell us the history of this oldest Zoo of Pakistan. It was established in
1872 and is one of the biggest Zoo of Pakistan. It is currently managed by the
Forest Wildlife and Fisheries Department Government of Pakistan, we saw so many
animals there like Elephants, Crocodile, Lion, Zebra, Horses, Tigers, Deer’s,
Parrots, Monkeys and many other animals were also kept in that Zoo. Our
teachers told us that this Zoo has a collection of about 378 animals of 135
species. Lahore Zoo is considered to be fourth oldest zoo in the world.
As we all
know that Lahore city is very my famous about cultural things, so we also
visited so many markets over there , there were so many shops of cultural
outfits and cultural bags . I' ve never seen many so many beautiful and
colorful fabrics at one place or at one
market. We became so much tired after buying so many things then we had the
cheapest and most delicious street food I ever tried.
I noticed
one every important thing while travelling around Lahore: people adore taking
pictures. They would stop me on the streets and ask me to take pictures of
them. But man would never ever ask me to take picture with him, then I started
to take pictures too in different places.
After
spending two days in Lahore and enjoying delicious food we came to know that
this saying was true and it also touched my heart "Jis Lahore Nai Dekhya O
Jamyai Nai" (One who has not seen Lahore has not been born)
After 2 days
we started packing our bags and checked out from Pakeeza One Hotel we left for
our sweet home Hyderabad, we all were tired due to continuous traveling and
roaming around the streets of Lahore. Then we reached Hyderabad and had dinner
at Hyderabad Darbar and took a cup of Tea and went to our sweet homes. It was a
memorable trip which i will never ever forget in my entire life.
We should do
travel for Growth and independence.
While away from home and the ease for the regular support system,
students have opportunities to see what they are capable of accomplishing by
themselves. Travelling allows us to develop ourselves in ways that cannot be
achieved without stepping outside of their comfort zone.
